PassProdotti
PassProdotti is a system that facilitates the complete management of insurance products sold by companies, such as Non-Life, Life, Index Linked and Unit Linked products. The Bill of Materials structure makes it possible to build products that are limitless in terms of guarantees, insured assets, or parameters in the rules for calculating premiums.
The system makes it possible to manage the technical features of products, product rates, product lists, commission-related specifications and flexibility discounts to be distributed among points of sale.
The rating engine, used in calculation functions for Life products (recursive formulas) and Non-Life products (free formulas for point-based rates, multiplier rates, etc.), is also used in defining flexibility thresholds and commission quotas, making it possible to construct rules based on the characteristics of a given policy (for example, the Bonus/Malus Class, Territorial Zone, etc.).
A fundamental feature of the system consists in the reusability of Bill of Materials elements: features capable of serving as resources for multiple products and rates (rules, formulas, rating parameters, guarantees, etc.) are recorded in appropriate Dictionaries.
PassProdotti® comprises two components:
- Author Environment, which enables branch technicians or actuaries to define all of the characteristics of a given product, (Guarantees, Insured Assets, Conventions, etc.) or of a given rate (rules of calculation, assumptive limits, dispensations, etc.)
- Actuator Environment, represented by the collected services that support the functions of the Bill of Materials and Rating Engine.
